Tent Cabins in Curry Village provide a comfortable, inexpensive accommodation, right inside Yosemite National Park, in the shadow of Glacier Point and Half Dome, and you get breakfast! Each tent cabin can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two central shower buildings and rest rooms are even closer. Curry Village has an outdoor pool, a mountaineering store, several restaurants, and a well stocked general store. You are also welcome to bring or buy your own food so long as it is not kept in the cabin, but stored in a bear-proof locker (provided free of charge at Yosemite). Curry Village is a great way to be close to nature, just minutes away from Happy Isles, the Mist Trail, and a short FREE Hybrid Shuttle ride away from the Yosemite Village, Yosemite Falls and most of the Valley’s attractions. For just a little sacrifice, you get a great payback in convenient location, with no commute time, and more time being so close to Yosemite’s world famous landmarks! A tent cabin is just like it sounds – a wooden frame with canvas covering, four single beds, bug screen windows with privacy covers, one light bulb, and a lockable door. There are a few heated ones for the winter, but most are not.

Tour includes San Francisco Hotel pick-up (tour vehicle has limited space for luggage, so try to keep it small!), transportation to Yosemite National Park, Yosemite Valley Tour and drop off at Yosemite Lodge, where you gain your independence, for 48 hours. The Three day Yosemite National Park tour is a great way to spend time doing activities that our 1-day or 2-day tours don’t leave time for - do some all-day hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls, or if you are really in shape (and get an early start), to the top of Half Dome, or only part way, to the top of Nevada Falls or Vernal Falls - things that are hard to fit into 2 half-days or less. You could also slow it down and go rafting down the Merced River, or ride around on an open tram tour of Yosemite Valley. Mirror Lake is just a short uphill walk, and you can just take it easy and walk around the beautiful valley floor, or bus it up to Glacier Point, or the Mariposa Grove (fare extra). On the third day, meet another tour group, and finish the day with them and return to San Francisco. In winter, it is still a great time to visit. Some locations are inaccessible, but the scenery is completely different – the Yosemite Valley itself is a winter waterfall wonderland. For someone willing to bundle up and wear the right shoes, and get some exercise, you will be greatly rewarded with the beauty of nature, and there are times when you might feel you have the place to yourself.

Winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads, are recommended.
We will always do what we can to make your trip enjoyable, but safety is “Job 1”, so the route and itinerary may be changed due to snow depth, road conditions, construction projects and detours.
Note: The Giant Sequoias hike on the Yosemite Tour is dependent on snow levels and trail conditions from October to April.

Yosemite Three Day Tour - Day One - Times Approximate

6:00 - 7:00 AM	Pick-ups start in Fisherman's Wharf Area and continue in downtown San Francisco.
7:00 - 7:20 AM	West Oakland Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:20 - 7:40 AM	Dublin/Pleasanton Bart Station pickup (if necessary).
7:40 - 9:00 AM	Continuing east, see the windmills and descend into the San Joaquin valley and stop for a break and a snack.
9:15 - 11:00 AM	Begin the climb into the foothills, through gold country, and up into the Sierra Nevada range and Yosemite National Park.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM	On your Yosemite tour, enjoy the amazing views of the valley, El Capitan, Half Dome, and the Yosemite Falls. Enjoy a hike to one of the park's waterfalls or lakes, or relax at the visitor's center where there are museums, restaurants, and the Ansel Adams Gallery.
1:00 - 5:00 PM	Get dropped off at Yosemite Lodge, the Park’s transportation hub, and your independence begins. Jump on the FREE Hybrid Shuttle and ride to Curry Village, check in, and drop off your bags. Ask the staff for some ideas, or browse the stores for some books or maps, and start hiking!
Evening	You can stay out later, because you don’t have to commute. Stores and restaurants are open “late”, but check times to make sure. Get a good night’s sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite.

Yosemite Three Day Tour - Day Two - Times Approximate

Morning	Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! You’re THERE! Duh!! Then shower down, get some breakfast, and…
All day	You decide! Get some maps, talk to the rangers or the staff at the Village and the Lodge and get some ideas. IN WINTER Be prepared to walk on ice and snow – bring warm clothes, waterproof hiking boots, and mittens! Hike the valley, climb to the Top of Yosemite Falls, or take the Mist Trail beside the roaring Merced River. (Be careful, and ask Park staff about trail conditions.)
Evening	You can stay out later, because you don’t have to commute. Stores and restaurants are open “late”, but check times to make sure. Get a good night’s sleep so you can get up early for another exciting day in Yosemite.

Yosemite Three Day Tour - Day Three - Times Approximate

7:00 - 8:00 AM	Get up early! Sunrise in Yosemite! You’re THERE! Again! You can sleep tomorrow. Then grab some breakfast, shower down, pack up, and…
8:30 AM - 1:00 PM	Check out, grab your bags and take the shuttle to Yosemite Lodge and check your bags. Ride the shuttle, explore the village, grab a lunch and un-check your bags. IMPORTANT: CALL US TOLL-FREE AT 1-866-231-3752 TO CONFIRM PICK-UP TIME AND PLACE!
1:30 - 4:00 PM	Un-check your bags and meet your new friends and new driver. Explore more of Yosemite with the group. This includes driving time to take an optional hike in the forest and see the Giant Sequoias. (May be omitted due to snow levels and trail conditions from October to April – we’ll spend more time in the Valley instead.)
4:00 - 6:00 PM	Start the return trip, descending from the Sierras, with more great scenery as we follow the sun to the west.
6:00 - 6:30 PM	Stop for a break and a bite to eat.
6:30 - 8:30 PM	Continue back to San Francisco, enjoying views of the sunset over the East Bay hills, or the Peninsula and the city lights.
8:30 - 9:00 PM	The Yosemite tour ends at your San Francisco Hotel front door.

Vehicle Safety Inspection: Safety is paramount in our industry and one of the biggest safety components in the tours we provide are our vehicles. Extranomical's fleet includes vans and mini-buses. Our vehicles are inspected constantly; first in the morning when the tour guide begins his/her day; second throughout the day the tour guide is verifying fluid levels, tire pressure and the general operation of the vehicle is monitored throughout the day. The vehicles are also inspected regularly (at least every 10,000) miles by our vehicle maintenance staff and also by independent certified mechanics during their routine maintenance. If that were not all, we also go through a thorough inspection performed by the California Highway Patrol once a year.
Tour Guide Training & Substance Abuse Testing: Our tour guides are extensively trained on both safety driving techniques and on providing an informative and interesting tour.
